Sample Letter - Abbotsford Times
As you probably know, the Corren’s are taking the Abbotsford School Board to the Human Rights Tribunal for listening to the wishes of parents in their district. Many have written in support of the School Board’s stand. We should all be encouraged to speak up about this with firm but respectful communication. Here is a sample letter, pulled from the Abbotsford Times that illustrates this:

EDITOR, THE TIMES:
Well, it didn’t take long for Peter and Murray Corren to feel “offended” that students in Abbotsford wouldn’t have the opportunity to be indoctrinated regarding their views on homosexuality.
Have we really come this far? That two men from a special interest group can hold an entire school district hostage until they are aligned with that special interest group’s ideologies is totally absurd.
I commend the Abbotsford school board for respecting the wishes and desires of those that elected them to office and putting the brakes on this constant bullying by the gay-rights movement.
It’s about time someone stands up to their perpetual wishes that all members of society whole-heartedly embrace their lifestyle as good, right and morally acceptable.
The Abbotsford school district decided to respect parents’ rights, parents’ family values and cultural values when they opted out of certain aspects of Social Justice 12.
I hope, and pray, that the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal rules in favour of the Abbotsford school district and doesn’t capitulate to the Correns’ wishes.

(National Post – Tuesday, September 02, 2008) VANCOUVER—This is the week that all hell was to break loose in British Columbia classrooms.
